Kevin Paxson has over 15 years of baseball coaching experience, five at which were at the high school level and ten at the collegiate level.  His high school experience consists of Assistant Coach at Shawnee High School, Assistant Coach at Moore High School and Head Coach at Prague High School.  During that time, Paxson helped his teams set numerous offensive records.  Furthermore, his teams won district championships, regional championships and made two state championship appearances.  Paxson’s college experience consists of St. Gregory’s University, Oklahoma Baptist University, Mid-America Christian University and the University of Central Oklahoma.  At St. Gregory’s University, he helped lead the team to their first ever playoff appearance.  Paxson was the hitting coach at Oklahoma Baptist University for two years, in which time the team set records for their batting averages, runs scored and homeruns.  As the Head Coach of Mid-America Christian University, he signed 6 players that went on to sign professional contracts.  Additionally, his team had a fourteen game improvement in the first year and set records for total wins and conference wins each season. Paxson also gained NCAA coaching experience at the University of Central Oklahoma where he was the Recruiting Coordinator and Hitting Coach. During that time, the team improved in every offensive category and won 11 more games than the previous season.
For three years, Paxson was the Manager for two different NCAA sanctioned MLB funded collegiate wood bat summer league teams, where he coached players from every level, including NCAA Division 1, 2 and 3, as well as NJCAA and NAIA. Paxson spent one season in the New York Collegiate Baseball League and two in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
Additionally, Paxson has been a private coach, where he has given batting lessons and orchestrated camps for the past 10 years.  He has worked with over 100 kids of all ages, including both baseball and softball players. Thus far, Paxson has coached over 15 players who have went on to sign professional contracts.
Paxson graduated from Shawnee High School, where he is a member of the Shawnee Baseball Hall of Fame.  He attended Cowley County Community College, where he was an All-Conference, All-Region and All-American baseball player.  He then attended Oklahoma Baptist University where he set several offensive records and was named to the All Sooner Athletic Conference both seasons.  After completing his collegiate baseball career, Paxson signed professional contracts with both the Tennessee Tomahawks and the Springfield Capitols.
Paxson holds a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science, with an emphasis in Sports Medicine from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Masters of Education, with an emphasis in Sports Administration from East Central University.
